Impaired driver arrested

SUMMERSIDE – A 31-year-old Slemon Park man has been arrested for impaired driving. Just after 3:30 a.m. on Tuesday morning, a member of the Summerside Police Service pulled over a vehicle on Slemon Park Drive for speeding. The vehicle was travelling in excess of 100 km/h in a 50km/h zone. Police noted signs of impairment while speaking with the man. He later provided samples of his breath that were in excess of the legal limit. The accused was released from custody and will appear in court at a later date to answer to impaired driving-related charges.
