DATES TO REMEMBER

June 6 - Athletic Awards Night at 5 p.m.

June 8 - Last day of classes for Grade 12s. Lockers must be cleaned out.

June 9 - Closing Supper and Social for ADP students. June 9 to 21 - Final exams. June 14 - Grad barbecue will take place at 3:30 p.m.

June 22 - Grad breakfast will take place at 8 a.m.

- Grad rehearsal is at 9:30 a.m.

- The 55th annual commenceme­nt exercises of Kinkora Regional High School will take place at 7 p.m.

- Safe Grad Night to follow.

2017 KRHS GRADUATION

The 55th annual commenceme­nt exercises of Kinkora Regional High School will take place on Thursday, June 22, at 7 p.m. Student Council President Brittany Peters will deliver the Salutation while graduate Bailey Dawson will deliver the Valedictor­y.

KRHS PRIZE FUND

Individual­s, businesses, or community groups wishing to donate to the Kinkora Regional High School Prize Fund may do so prior to June 9 in order to be acknowledg­ed in the program.

KRHS ATHLETIC AWARDS

Athletic awards banquet is on Tuesday, June 6, starting at 5 p.m. The meal will be potluck and all athletes are asked to bring something. Students are reminded the evening is semiformal.

All athletes and parents are encouraged to attend. Tickets can be purchased from Mr. Ranahan for $2. Tickets will not be sold at the door. There is no cost for family members. Awards will be presented to all graduating athletes and individual awards for each major sport.

Closing Supper and Social for ADP students at Lotus Gardens in Kensington on June 9, followed by a trip to Burlington Amusement Park. Special thank you to program co-ordinator Jessica Reeves for all her efforts this year. On May 11, students visited Dexter Cattle Company and St. Jean Island Milking Sheep Farm in Rustico. Tractor Safety Day for the Grade 10s was on May 26. On May 25, students visited Schurman Family Farms in Spring Valley. On May 30, students visited Mid-Isle Farms in Albany.

Senior Women’s Softball – Coaches are Tracy Thomson, Molly Murphy, and Quiana Woolaver. Congratula­tions to the girls for winning their game May 25 against KISH. Winning pitchers were Madeline Hamill and Callie Thomson. Top batters were Callie Thomson, Maddy Moffatt, Elizabeth Phillips, and Alexis Mulligan.
