If you’re looking for ways to save money, the Greater Summerside Chamber of Commerce has you covered. Chamber members have access to savings on many business services such as health insurance, couriers and vehicle fuel while member employees can enjoy savings such as auto and travel insurance. All national or regional affiliate partnerships have been negotiated by the Canadian or Atlantic Chamber.

New member

The Greater Summerside Chamber of Commerce welcomes Nancy Quinn as a new Chamber Member. Quinn offers professional research, business plans and strategies; feasibility studies for expansions and development. Her business also includes grant writing, networking, coaching along with solid data and advice.

Manager recognized

The manager of the McDonald’s restaurant on Granville Street in Summerside has been recognized as one of the company’s best in Canada. Martha MacLeod has received a 2017 Outstanding Manager of the Year Award. There are 1,400 McDonalds restaurants in Canada and these awards are handed out to be about 10 per cent of their managers annually. Summerside franchisee David McKenna said MacLeod is certainly worthy of the award and of being counted as the best restaurant managers in Canada.

Trius Transit wins award

Entrepreneurs Mike Cassidy and Adam Doiron have won the Ernst Young Atlantic Business to Business 2017 Entrepreneur of the Year Award thanks to their management and strategic direction of the Coach Atlantic Transportation Group, a well-recognized regional bus transportation provider.
