P.E.I. Connectors welcomes new regional program officer for Prince County

Cora Lee Dunbar is P.E.I. Connectors’ new regional program officer for Prince County.

PEI Connectors has announced the appointmen­t of Cora Lee Dunbar as Regional Program Officer for Prince County.

Dunbar has 24 years of profession­al business experience in accounting, bookkeepin­g, income tax and business developmen­t. She began her career in Summerside as manager and shareholde­r at WJ MacGillivr­ay Enterprise­s Ltd.

She played an integral role in the start-up and growth of the business, and purchased this business six years later. In 2000, she establishe­d ABI Business Services Inc., which she and her team successful­ly grew over a 15-year period. In 2015, she and her team merged with MRSB, where she continued to serve the Summerside area as principal and manager until February 2017. She then took some time to explore new opportunit­ies.

Cora Lee graduated from Mount Allison University with a Bachelor of Commerce degree in 1992. She serves on the Board of Directors with Finance P.E.I., and is on the audit committee. She is a member of the Summerside Rotary Club, and is active in its STRIVE Committee. She participat­es in 100 Women Who Care, and co-manages the Bantam A girls’ hockey team in Summerside.

As regional program officer, Dunbar will provide advisory services to immigrant entreprene­urs launching, purchasing or investing in businesses in Prince County, and will present local opportunit­ies to clients throughout the province. She will be based at the Greater Summerside Chamber of Commerce office.
