Superheroe­s at the library

Visit the library on Friday Nov. 3, at 11 a.m. for our Superhero PD Day program. Bring your alter ego and have fun with superhero games and activities. Children ages 6 – 12 are invited to come dressed as their favourite superhero or create a new hero character at the library.

All ages are invited to the Family Puppet Show on Saturday Nov. 4 at 11 a.m. Come in and watch our puppet show and then stay and make up your own.

Knitters and needle craft enthusiast­s are invited to a special yarn program at the library on Thursday Nov. 9, at 2 p.m. Janet Ogilvie, owner and operator of Green Gables Alpacas, will be giving a presentati­on on alpaca’s fiber and the process she uses to make it into yarn. Our weekly Family Storytime program will feature two special visitors during November. On Thursday Nov. 9 at 10:30 a.m., we will be joined by a local firefighte­r who will read a story and show off his firefighti­ng equipment, including the truck. On Thursday, Nov. 23 at 10:30 we will be joined by a local police officer who will read a book and show off the police car. Preschoole­rs and their families are invited to join us for these special storytime programs and get to know these important members of our community.
