Blanche Victoria Gallant, 99, of Moncton, passed away on Sunday February 11, 2018 at the Villa du Repos.

Born on November 11, 1918 in Moncton and raised in Adamsville, she was the daughter of the late Antoine and

Alice (Henri) LeBlanc. She is survived by eight children: Patricia Murphy (Mike) de Shediac, Jeannette Gallant, Léo (Jeannette), Louise Cormier, Gisèle Brun (Louis), Jean-Guy, and Thérèse Gallant (Martin), all of Moncton, and Stella Gallant (Donny) of Prince Edward Island; one son-in-law, Harold “Buddy” Tingley of Shediac River; 17 grandchild­ren, 27 great-grandchild­ren, and four great-great-grandchild­ren; one sister, Anne-Marie Dorsey of Montréal; one sister-in-law, Jeannine Daigle of Dieppe; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predecease­d by her husband, Jean-Pierre Gallant (1991); two daughters, Claudette Tingley and infant Marie; one grandson, Jean-Louis Brun; two sisters: Stella and Lorraine; seven brothers: infants Normand, Laurent and René, Françis, Yvon, Zoël, and Léo “Bino”. The family will receive condolence­s at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) from where the funeral service will be celebrated on Thursday February 15 at 11 a.m. followed by a reception at the centre. Visiting hours are Thursday from 10 a.m. until time of funeral. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe.
