The funeral service for George Reginald “Reg” MacRae of Summerside, P.E.I., beloved husband of Gladys (nee Parkman) MacRae was held on Thursday, February 15th, 2018 from the East Prince Funeral Home to Trinity United Church, Summerside by Rev. Dr. Andrew Richardson. The Readings were read and the Mediation was delivered by Rev. Dr. Richardson. A poem, “Crossing the Bar” was read by his brother Sterling MacRae. Hymns sung by the members of the choir were “Faith of Our Fathers” and “Amazing Grace”. A solo, “Until Then” was rendered by Neil MacGregor. Organist was Jennifer MacDonald. The Recessiona­l Hymn, “Amazing Grace” was played on the bagpipes by piper Matthew MacLean. Urn bearer was his son Lea MacRae. Reg wanted everyone in attendance to be considered Honorary Pallbearer­s. Also in attendance were members of Regent Chapter #52, Order of the Eastern Star who were joined by several other members of the order from across P.E.I., many brethren of the Masonic Order and representa­tives of the East Prince Funeral Co-operative, Summerside. Members of Hiram and Lebanon Masonic Lodge, # 3, Summerside held a Memorial Service at the funeral home on Wednesday evening under the direction of Most Worshipful Bro. Cooke Howatt. Also in attendance was the Grand Master of Masons for P.E.I., Most Worshipful Bro. Kevin B. Crozier, Worship Master of Hiram and Lebanon, Bro. Michael Cameron and Chaplain, Most Worshipful Bro. Bruce Small. Interment to place later in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Valley. Arrangemen­ts were entrusted to the East Prince Funeral Home, Summerside.
