Old water or new?

Journal Pioneer - - EDITORIAL -

Robert Irving has raised the issue of the moratorium on deep water wells. The province isn’t releasing information on water. People have the right to know if there is old water or new water. Old water is water that has accumulated over time. New water is water that has accumulated over a year or two. The province has to make public the age of the water in deep wells.

I wrote a letter to the editor about Desalination years ago. People know how important potato farming and Cavendish Farms are to our province. Water is just as important and the public has the right to know the age of water to make a proper decision.
