Beginning this week, infrastructure work has resumed on the Homestead Trail in the Cavendish area of P.E.I.’s National Park. Portions of the Homestead Trail will be closed for rehabilitation, while several unaffected areas of the trail will remain open to visitors throughout this process. Parks Canada is upgrading trails as part of a multi-year redevelopment project to improve infrastructure and enhance visitor experience at the National Park. There will be signage on site, identifying the sections of the Homestead Trail under work. Closed sections will be marked in red on the map at the trailhead and construction signs will be posted on the trail. This work will be completed by mid-July.
