Island chefs are demonstrating their culinary talents as part of a month-long celebration of P.E.I. seafood products. The Best of Sea culinary competition runs throughout June and features 18 restaurants across the province. To vote for your favourite, visit bestofsea.com. Chefs are vying for $4,000 in prize money, and the 2018 Chic Chef of the Year earns the opportunity to compete in the Garland International Chef Challenge at September’s P.E.I. International Shellfish Festival. Ten different seafood species are being showcased this year. The 2017 winner was chef Javier Alarco of Water’s Edge in Charlottetown.
