Route 6 Ranch launched in partnership with P.E.I. entrepreneur
Coming to the Cavendish Beach Music Festival this summer? Now there’s another option for accommodations during the five-day festival. On Wednesday Cavendish Beach Music Festival launched its first official campground in partnership with local entrepreneur Chris Daley – the Route 6 Ranch, located in Oyster Bed. Exclusive to festival attendees, the new campground features a variety of sites starting at $399 for a five-day stay from July 5 to 9. The campground will also feature daily shuttle service to and from Atlantic Canada’s largest outdoor music festival. “A campground centred around the Cavendish Beach Music Festival has been a goal since it began,” said Daley, general manager of the Route 6 Ranch. “We were thrilled when the opportunity arose to purchase Raceway Park in partnership with the festival’s 10th anniversary this year. It has been an existing campground for many years and its close proximity makes it the perfect fit. We are very excited to grow with the festival and create a whole new experience.” Attendees will be able to enjoy an array of options from unserviced tent and RV sites, to camping in style with pre-built “glamping” campsites complete with furniture, bedding and QUBE tents. Available now, a limited number of campsites can be purchased via Unity Travel. Campsite booking will require a minimum three-day general admission pass to the festival, either purchased prior to or after booking. Celebrating its 10th year, the festival’s blockbuster lineup will see multi-platinum selling international superstar Shawn Mendes headline a special fourth night on July 9, joining headliners Luke Bryan, Chris Young and Brett Eldredge. Additional artists previously announced for the Bell Main Stage from July 6 to 9 include, Dan + Shay, Terri Clark, Chase Rice, Granger Smith, The Road Hammers, James Barker Band, Meghan Patrick, Lindsay Ell and Petric. Additional performers for July 9 will include Broods, Cashmere Cat, Lauv, Alec Benjamin and New City.
