LeClair selected student-athlete of the month
It’s been a busy year for Grade 10 student
It hasn’t taken long for Hannah LeClair to make an impact in the senior athletic program at Kensington Intermediate-Senior High School (KISH). The Grade 10 student competed in six sports during the 2017-18 season. The daughter of Patty and Doug LeClair of Norboro played striker and midfield in soccer, point guard in basketball, catcher and shortstop in softball, threw the shot put and javelin in track and field, competed in badminton singles and also represented KISH in golf. “Hannah is an overall great athlete, and a true leader,” said KISH softball coach Angela Rogers. “Her experience of the game helped her control the game, and communicate with her teammates.” Outside of school, Hannah, who turned 16 on June 14, is a member of the P.E.I. Midget AAA Female Hockey League-champion MidIsle Wildcats, and was named the top goaltender of the Atlantic championship tournament. This summer, she is playing bantam AA baseball with the combined Kensington and Bedeque team. Hannah’s future plans following
