LeClair se­lected stu­dent-ath­lete of the month

It’s been a busy year for Grade 10 stu­dent

It hasn’t taken long for Han­nah LeClair to make an im­pact in the se­nior ath­letic pro­gram at Kens­ing­ton In­ter­me­di­ate-Se­nior High School (KISH). The Grade 10 stu­dent com­peted in six sports dur­ing the 2017-18 sea­son. The daugh­ter of Patty and Doug LeClair of Nor­boro played striker and mid­field in soc­cer, point guard in basketball, catcher and short­stop in soft­ball, threw the shot put and javelin in track and field, com­peted in bad­minton sin­gles and also rep­re­sented KISH in golf. “Han­nah is an over­all great ath­lete, and a true leader,” said KISH soft­ball coach An­gela Rogers. “Her ex­pe­ri­ence of the game helped her con­trol the game, and com­mu­ni­cate with her team­mates.” Out­side of school, Han­nah, who turned 16 on June 14, is a mem­ber of the P.E.I. Mid­get AAA Fe­male Hockey League-cham­pion MidIsle Wild­cats, and was named the top goal­tender of the At­lantic cham­pi­onship tournament. This sum­mer, she is play­ing ban­tam AA baseball with the com­bined Kens­ing­ton and Bed­eque team. Han­nah’s fu­ture plans fol­low­ing
