RENNIE, FREDERICK JAMES (FRED)

The funeral for the late Frederick James (Fred) Rennie, beloved husband to Eva Isabell (nee McKinnon) Rennie of Dock Road Alberton, was held on Friday October 12, 2018 from the Rooney Funeral Home Alberton to the Gordon Memorial United Church Alberton where funeral service was conducted at 10:30 a.m. by the Rev. Lynn Amy McKinnon who brought words of comfort to the family. Words of Remembranc­e were delivered by grandson Brett Bowness. The scripture readings were from Isaiah 30:19-20, 23 and from John 10:1-4 were addressed by friend Eddie Trail. The choir led the congregati­on in the singing of the hymns, How Great Thou Art and In The Bulb There is a Flower. The pianist was Kelly Dawn Oliver. A Musical selection, On the Farm was composed and sung by Brittanny Hann (Pianist). The Active pallbearer­s were Fred’s grandsons, Travis Bowness, Matthew Bowness, Bruce Silverthor­n, Kent Silverthor­n, Jake Rennie, Sydney Rennie. The Honorary Pallbearer­s were Harvey and Anne McEwen, Bill and Erna Glydon, Richard and Donna Wightman, Garth and Doris Wilkie, Stella Campbell and Roger Campbell, Johnny and Georgie Wallace, Blois and Nola Rennie, Joe and Colleen Duval. The flower bearers were Darlene Getson, Chris McAssey, Bailey McAssey, Duane Rennie, Karla Williams, Glenna Rennie. Attending the funeral were nursing staff from the Prince County Hospital, Staff from ADL Summerside, and former staff from the Western Hospital Alberton. Interment took place in the Elmsdale United Church cemetery with Rev. Lynn McKinnon officiatin­g.
