The funeral for the late Bridget Mary Milligan beloved wife of Gerald W. Milligan of Dock Road, Alberton was held on Tuesday morning October 17, 2018 from the Rooney Funeral Home Alberton to the Sacred Heart Church Alberton where funeral mass was celebrated at 10:30 a.m. by the Rev. Andrew MacDonald who delivered the Homily and had the prayers of final commendati­on and farewell. The first reading was addressed by grandson Ryan Doucette. The second reading was addressed by granddaugh­ter Alicia Doucette. The prayers of the faithful were invited by sister Renita Gallant. The Eucharisti­c minister was Jean Cahill. The Crucifer was Irving Broderick and the candle bearers were Emile Bernard and Joe Callaghan. The choir was under the direction of Phyllis Matthews. The cantor was Sonia Wallace. The organist was Diane Handrahan. The procession­al hymn was, Here I Am Lord. The psalm was The Lord is my Shepherd. The offertory hymn was, I Will Never Forget You My People. The communion hymn was Immaculate Mary. The post communion hymn solo, Amazing Grace was sung by Bruce Jones, brother of the deceased. The song of farewell was Songs of the Angels. The recessiona­l hymn was How Great Thou Art. The pallbearer­s were sons, Gary Milligan, Grant Milligan. Jason Milligan Son in Law Leo Doucette, grandson Ryan Doucette and granddaugh­ter Miranda Devlin. The flower bearers were grandchild­ren, Allie Milligan, Ben Milligan, Olivia Doucette, Alicia Doucette. Interment was in the church cemetery with Rev. Andrew MacDonald officiatin­g. Following the rite of committal, brother Bruce Jones (Guitar) sang” Go Rest High on That Mountain”.
