Mill seeks re-election on Kensington Council
A third current Kensington town councillor has announced they will seek re-election. Marvin Mill announced Tuesday his desire to serve another term as councillor.
“I want to continue working closely with town residents especially the youth, businesses, seniors, as well as town staff and fellow councillors to make Kensington the most inviting, safe, productive community to live work and play on P.E.I.,” he said.
Mill is a 23-year-long staffer of Frito Lay Canada and lives in Kensington with his wife, Christine, son, Cameron, and daughter Mackenzie. He has served on town council for a number of years as well as served in various community groups like winter carnival committee, KARA board representative, Mens’ North Shore Rec Softball League and Kensington Minor Hockey board. He was also part of the Queen Elizabeth Elementary Playground committee, Atlantic Major Midget Hockey host committee and Kensington Do Crew. Some of his goals include a new industrial/business park, more lodging and places to stay in town, and grow the community’s focus on its competitive advantage over other areas.
“I have gained a lot of knowledge and understanding of how municipal government works in Kensington and feel it’s an exciting time to continue to give back to the community I live in and love so much.”
Mill was born and raised in Kensington. He is 46 years-old and is the son of Clayton and Marie Mill.
