Coming up at Inspire Learning Centre

This month the library is featuring adult programs that educate about and support those dealing with serious health issues. Visit the library on Thursday, Nov. 22 at 1:30 p.m. to learn more about stroke and recovering from a stroke from stroke survivor Jean Poirier.

A stroke happens when blood stops flowing to any part of the brain, damaging brain cells. The effects of a stroke depend on the part of the brain that was damaged, and the amount of damage done.

The Multiple Sclerosis SelfHelp Group meets at the library on the third Thursday of every month at 2 p.m. This month the group will meet on Thursday, Nov. 15. If you or someone you love has Multiple Sclerosis you are invited to come and converse with others living with MS. New members are always welcome.

The P.E.I. Healthy Eating Support Group meets at the library on Wednesday, Nov. 14 at 1 p.m. Each month the group is joined by a guest speaker who shares ways to eat healthier. New members are welcome.

Children and teens are invited to the library on Friday, Nov. 23 for some free PD Day programs. The teen Puzzle It Out program takes place from 1 – 4 p.m.

Teens are invited to visit the library to try out different types of puzzles and enter for a prize draw. Children ages 6 – 12 can try out the Escape Room from 1:30 – 3 p.m. Use logic, skill, and teamwork to puzzle your way out and beat the clock. Space is limited so please contact the library to register.
