Colourful sounds of Christmas continue on stage at new concert series in Summerside

Get into the spirit of the holiday season with a new concert series that’s now running at the 290 seat, state-of-the-art Celtic Performing Arts Centre in Summerside.

On Tuesday, Dec. 4, an original combinatio­n called The Spirit of Christmas with Lennie Gallant and Fandango took the stage to get things going.

Key Murray Law is the title sponsor of the 2018 Christmas Concert series. “Supporting events and organizati­ons in the communitie­s where we work and live are important to the firm. We hope everyone enjoys the concert series this holiday season,” said Jeff Cormier, a partner at Key Murray Law.

There are still a few shows left, including Matthew Byrne and Atlantic String Machine teaming up for ‘A Classic Christmas’ tonight, Dec. 8. This will be an evening with soaring melodies, new holiday compositio­ns and rich arrangemen­ts of Christmas classics.

Dec. 9, brings a special show called Celtic Christmas, which will feature college alumnus Patricia Murray, The Gallant Family band, instructor­s and students of The College of Piping. There are a talented group of musicians and dancers at the college and this is an opportunit­y to see them perform in a new show.

The festival wraps up on Dec. 13 with the Ledwell and Haines Christmas Special, featuring Mark Haines and Patrick Ledwell. This is a one-of-a-kind evening, blending comedy, storytelli­ng, and music.

Ticket prices range from $20 to $30 including taxes and fees and tickets are on sale now. Each ticket purchased gets entered to win a $500 travel voucher to bring someone home for Christmas.
