Colour­ful sounds of Christ­mas con­tinue on stage at new con­cert se­ries in Summerside

Get into the spirit of the hol­i­day sea­son with a new con­cert se­ries that’s now run­ning at the 290 seat, state-of-the-art Celtic Per­form­ing Arts Cen­tre in Summerside.

On Tues­day, Dec. 4, an orig­i­nal com­bi­na­tion called The Spirit of Christ­mas with Len­nie Gal­lant and Fan­dango took the stage to get things go­ing.

Key Mur­ray Law is the ti­tle spon­sor of the 2018 Christ­mas Con­cert se­ries. “Sup­port­ing events and or­ga­ni­za­tions in the com­mu­ni­ties where we work and live are im­por­tant to the firm. We hope ev­ery­one en­joys the con­cert se­ries this hol­i­day sea­son,” said Jeff Cormier, a part­ner at Key Mur­ray Law.

There are still a few shows left, in­clud­ing Matthew Byrne and At­lantic String Ma­chine team­ing up for ‘A Clas­sic Christ­mas’ tonight, Dec. 8. This will be an evening with soar­ing melodies, new hol­i­day com­po­si­tions and rich ar­range­ments of Christ­mas clas­sics.

Dec. 9, brings a spe­cial show called Celtic Christ­mas, which will fea­ture col­lege alum­nus Pa­tri­cia Mur­ray, The Gal­lant Fam­ily band, in­struc­tors and stu­dents of The Col­lege of Pip­ing. There are a tal­ented group of mu­si­cians and dancers at the col­lege and this is an op­por­tu­nity to see them per­form in a new show.

The fes­ti­val wraps up on Dec. 13 with the Led­well and Haines Christ­mas Spe­cial, fea­tur­ing Mark Haines and Pa­trick Led­well. This is a one-of-a-kind evening, blend­ing com­edy, sto­ry­telling, and mu­sic.

Ticket prices range from $20 to $30 in­clud­ing taxes and fees and tick­ets are on sale now. Each ticket pur­chased gets en­tered to win a $500 travel voucher to bring some­one home for Christ­mas.
