What’s going on at KISH?
Twelve days of KISHmas underway
Dear, KISH fanatics, after a slow week at KISH, the 12 days of KISHmas have begun.
The schedule for this is as follows:
Thursday, Dec. 6: Green, White, and red day to show your spirit. Friday, Dec. 7: Santa Hat Day Monday, Dec. 10: Diversity Day: celebrating all the cultures and countries we are proud to present every day at KISH. Tuesday, Dec. 11: Christmas Pajama Day: Wear your coziest Christmas PJ’s and participate in a tree decorating at lunch. Wednesday, Dec. 12: Whether it be ugly, or actually cute...wear your favourite Christmas sweater today.
Thursday, Dec. 13: At lunch on this day, KISH students can enjoy some hot chocolate in the cafeteria. Hot chocolate will be free and available to all students.
Friday, Dec. 14: Dress up as a Christmas character today. Some ideas and examples are Elf, the Grinch, Santa, Reindeer, etc. Also, do not forget that the Christmas dance will be this evening.
Monday, Dec. 17: Eat your lunch in the cafeteria to be able to listen to the wonderful Christmas music that will be played at both senior and junior lunches!
Tuesday, Dec. 18: Winter sports teams day: hockey, ringette, curling, etc. Wear a jersey, or the uniform of a winter sport to show your school spirit. Wednesday, Dec. 19: This day will be dedicated to each homeroom. The homeroom’s mission is to dress up as one Christmas carol each. Try and get everyone in your class to participate to win. Thursday, Dec. 20: Whiteout Day! Wear all white today as we blend in with the mostly white snow.
Friday, Dec. 21: Today is the last day before Christmas Break. To celebrate our fall sports, the Pep Rally will be at the end of the day. For KISHmas, this day will be hat and mitts day.
During the week of Dec. 10 to 14, Candy Cane O’Gram sales will be happening in front of the library. Candy will be 50 cents each!
Also, during this week tickets for the Christmas Semi will be sold at lunch for $7. Tickets will be sold at the door for $10. During the week of Dec. 17 to 21, students will have the opportunity to go on a scavenger hunt around the whole school in search of hidden candy canes! Whichever ones you find, you can eat or give to a friend.
KISH would also like to wish all students and the community a very Merry Christmas. We are so blessed to have everyone’s support and participation the first half of the school year. Have a good New Year and we wish everyone an awesome second half of the semester.
Kindest Regards, KISH
