BRENNAN, ELEANOR MARY

The funeral for the late Eleanor Mary Brennan beloved wife of the late Edgar Brennan of Tignish was held on Monday November 26,2018 from the Rooney Funeral Home & Chapel Alberton to St. Simon and St. Jude Church Tignish where funeral mass was celebrated at 10:30 a.m. by the Rev. John Molina who delivered the Homily and had the prayers of final commendati­on and farewell. The first reading was addressed by niece, Tammy Chaisson, the second reading was addressed by niece Megan Handrahan. The prayers of the faithful were invited by Callie Pineau. The Eucharisti­c ministers were James Hogan, Richard Shea and Seminarian Walter Flynn. The crucifer was Richard Shea and the candle bearers were Charles Bernard and Albert Shea. The alter server was James Hogan. The choir was under the direction of the cantor Vincent Doucette. The organist was Diane Handrahan. The procession­al hymn was, Here I am Lord. The psalm was The Lord is my Shepherd. The offertory hymn was Peace is flowing like a River. The communion hymn, Come to the Water was sung by nieces, Karen Keefe, (Guitar) Tammy Chaisson, (Guitar) Connie Brennan(Guitar) and Callie Pineau (Mandolin). The post communion selection, God of the Mountain was sung by Mary Perry accompanie­d on guitar by Rodney Perry. Sister and nephew of the deceased. The song of farewell was Songs of the Angels. The recessiona­l hymn was How Great Thou Art. The Urn Bearer was son Trevor Kinch. Interment will later take place in the church cemetery.
