January library programs
Archivist Fred Horne will be at the library on Thursday, Jan. 17 at 3 p.m. for a Genealogy Talk. Learn more about tracing your family tree from an expert. Please call the library to register for the program. The monthly Library Genealogy Club meeting will take place on Sunday, Jan. 13, at 2 p.m. New members are always welcome.
Children ages eight to 12 are invited to join the new Kids Code Club starting Tuesday, Jan. 15, at 6 p.m. This six week program will allow children to build their programming skills by following step-by-step instructions to create animations, games, websites, and much more.
The theme for this month’s Teen Crafts program is edible architecture. Teens ages 13 to 19 are invited to the library on Tuesday, Jan. 8 at 4 p.m. The new Twisted Stitchers program for teens will run on Sundays from 1 to 3 p.m. This is a drop-in program where teens, ages 13-19, can learn the basics of how to knit, crochet, and/or cross stitch. Experienced teen stitchers are welcome to join us to chat, get inspiration for a new project, or get help on your latest projects. Some materials will be provided or bring your own.
