The fu­neral for the late Ken­neth Joseph (Kenny) Perry of Al­ber­ton and for­merly of Nail Pond, was held on Mon­day Jan­uary 7, 2019 from the Rooney Fu­neral Home & Chapel Al­ber­ton to St. Si­mon and St. Jude Church Tig­nish, where fu­neral mass was cel­e­brated at 10:30 a.m. by the Rev. John Molina who de­liv­ered the Homily and had the prayers of fi­nal com­men­da­tion and fair­well. The first read­ing was ad­dressed by Linda Perry sis­ter of Ken­neth. The sec­ond read­ing was ad­dressed by daugh­ter Tif­fany Jud­son. The prayers of the faith­ful were in­vited by daugh­ter Ch­erylLee Mur­phy. The gifts were pre­sented at the al­ter by grand­sons Tan­ner and Tay­lor Mur­phy. The Eucharis­tic min­is­ters were Percy and Joan Fen­nessey and James Ho­gan. The Cru­cifer was Richard Shea. The can­dle bear­ers were Charles Bernard and Louis Shea. The al­ter server was James Ho­gan. The choir was un­der the di­rec­tion of the can­tor Vin­cent Doucette. The or­gan­ist was Diane Han­dra­han. The En­trance hymn was Be Not Afraid. The Psalm was The Lord Is My Shep­herd. The Of­fer­tory hymn was I Will never For­get You My Peo­ple. The Com­mu­nion hymn was I Am the Bread of Life. The Post Com­mu­nion hymn was the Mag­ni­fi­cat, Holy Is Your Name. The Song of fair­well was Songs of the An­gels. The re­ces­sional hymn was How Great Thou Art. Ev­ery­one present for the fu­neral liturgy were con­sid­ered to be Honorary pall­bear­ers. The pall­bear­ers were Stephen Mur­phy, Aaron Jud­son, Ricky DesRoches, Howard Perry, Jamie Mur­phy, Rob­bie Mor­gan. The flower bear­ers were grand­chil­dren, At­wan Peters, Co­hen Jud­son, Caleb Jud­son, Teaghan Mur­phy. In­ter­ment will later take place in the church ceme­tery.
