Dental Preventive Clinic at Kinkora Regional High school will be starting the second week of February 2019.

VICTORY IN EUROPE

TOUR 2020

This trip commemorat­es the 75th anniversar­y since the end of the Second World War in Europe as well as important stops from the First World War. Students will be visiting three countries: France, Belgium, and the Netherland­s from April 28 to May 7, 2020. During the month of December, travelers sold tickets on a Christmas House Tour (Dec. 14) as well as a Gift Card Tree. ACADEMY DIPLOMA PROGRAM IN AGRICULTUR­E

& BIOSCIENCE

ADP students will be heading to Ottawa from Feb. 10 to 16 for a week at Encounters with Canada. The theme of their week is Tech & Food. Participan­ts explore innovative and exciting ideas to feed Canada and the world in the future. Sponsored by Farm Credit Canada, the week includes sessions with industry leaders, such as biotechnol­ogists, sustainabl­e food specialist­s, and agribusine­ss managers. Participan­ts travel from laboratory to field to discover the wide variety of opportunit­ies in the tech and food arenas.

SCHOOL FOOD THINK TANKS

‘School Food Think Tanks’ were held recently in three school communitie­s where nine schools are prepared to pilot a school food program. Hundreds of students participat­ed in the events at East Wiltshire Intermedia­te, Kinkora Regional High, and Montague Regional High. Their suggestion­s will be integrated into the school food pilot project planned for fall 2019.
