GARD, LORNA

The funeral service for Lorna Gard, of Mill River East, wife of the late Lloyd Gard, was held on Tuesday January 8, 2019 at Ferguson Funeral Home, Chapel, O’Leary at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Gordon Walker officiating. The scripture readings were from Psalm 23 and Ecclesiastes 3 offered by Heather Carver, and John 14. Loving words of remembrance were offered by Lorna’s Sister, Iris Gairns. Special music “Just A Closer Walk with Thee” and “There Is A River” were sung by niece, Michelle Gamble, sister Frances Lewis and Paula Caulier. Everyone in attendance was considered honorary pallbearers. The pallbearers were grandchildren Kenton Smallman, Logan Smallman, Clay Smallman, Jessie Dumville, Chandler Gard and Brandon Gard. The flower bearers were nieces Angela Webb, Norman Smallamn, Karen MacCarville and friends Janet Hardy and Natalie Horne-Gallant. Interment followed in Bloomfield United Church Cemetery. Attending the funeral service was retired staff of West Prince Homecare and staff of Cox & Palmer.
