The funeral for the late Shawn Elmer McCormick beloved son of Leslye (David) Albert and Elmer J. McCormick was held on Friday January 4, 2019 from the Rooney Funeral Home & Chapel Alberton to the Immaculate Conception Church Palmer Road, where funeral mass was celebrated at 10:30 a.m. by the Rev. Albin Arsenault who delivered the Homily and had the prayers of final commendation and fairwell. The first reading was addressed by Helen McKenna. The second reading was addressed by Stella Gallant. The prayers of the faithful were invited by Tracy Gallant. The Eucharistic ministers were Kaye Gallant, Alberta Ellsworth, Claudia Gaudet. The Crucifer was Mary Ann Smith and the candle bearers were Stella Gallant and Bernadette Gallant. The choir was under the direction of Velda Gallant. The organist was Anita Doucette. The Entrance hymn was By Name I Have Called You. The psalm was Rest in God Alone, Rest in God Alone, My Soul My Soul The offertory hymn was I Will Never Forget You My People. The Communion hymn was Hymn of The Good Shepherd. The song of Fairwell was Songs of The Angels. The recessional hymn was Safe in The Arms of Jesus. The Urn Bearer was Shawn’s father Elmer McCormick. Interment will later take place in the church cemetery.
