Harbourfront Players announce 2019 selection
There will be ‘Rumors’ shared in Summerside starting in March
The Harbourfront Players return to the stage this March 2019 at Harbourfront Theatre.
After their successful run of Norm Foster’s “Maggie’s Getting Married” last year, the Players are pleased to announce their 2019 selection: “Rumors,” by Neil Simon.
“‘Rumors’ is a hilarious farce about misunderstandings and miscommunications,” says Kieran Keller, Harbourfront Theatre’s executive director. “We’re looking forward to having members of the Harbourfront Players return to the stage for five performances of Neil Simon’s play this March.”
The play “Rumors” tells the story of an anniversary dinner party going awry when the host is found unconscious with a bullethole through his ear and his wife nowhere to be found. As the confusion and miscommunications mount among some of the party guests, the evening spins off into classic farcical hilarity.
The Harbourfront Players will perform “Rumors” by Neil Simon on March 1, 2, 8, and 9 at 7:30 p.m. and on March 10 at 2 p.m. “Rumors” is presented by special arrangement with Samuel French, INC.
