New direc­tor wel­comed

The Coopéra­tive d’in­té­gra­tion fran­co­phone (CIF) wel­comed a new co-or­di­na­tor of set­tle­ment ser­vices for Fran­co­phone per­ma­nent res­i­dents on P.E.I.

Dupe Akin­niyi be­gan work­ing with CIF in Novem­ber at the or­ga­ni­za­tion’s of­fice in Car­refour de l’Isle-Saint-Jean.

Orig­i­nally from Bel­gium, Akin­niyi has been liv­ing in the Char­lot­te­town area with her fam­ily for over a year. In the course of her ca­reer, she spent 10 years work­ing in car man­u­fac­turer Toy­ota’s mar­ket­ing depart­ment.

Then, af­ter ob­tain­ing a Montes­sori Ed­u­ca­tion cer­tifi­cate, she founded her own day­care cen­tre in Brus­sels, which she man­aged un­til her move to Canada. Draw­ing on her pro­fes­sional ex­pe­ri­ence and her own jour­ney im­mi­grat­ing to P.E.I., Akin­niyi is ex­cited to use her skills to help new­com­ers to the Is­land.
