Op­por­tu­ni­ties abound at busi­ness meet­ing

Busi­nesses, artists and more in­vited to in­for­ma­tion meet­ing on Con­grés Mon­dial aca­dian 2019

Is­land busi­nesses, artists and crafters are in­vited to a bilin­gual in­for­ma­tion meet­ing that will pro­vide in­sight on busi­ness op­por­tu­ni­ties that may arise from the Con­grés Mon­dial aca­dian (CMA) which is set to take place on the Is­land later this year. The Aca­dian and Fran­co­phone Cham­ber of Com­merce of P.E.I. will host this meet­ing to en­cour­age busi­nesses and ven­dors to pre­pare them­selves for the ar­rival of hun­dreds of vis­i­tors at­tend­ing CMA 2018.

The event will take place in eight Is­land mu­nic­i­pal­i­ties from Aug. 10 to 24.

Guest speak­ers will dis­cuss as­pects con­cern­ing host­ing such a large event in­clud­ing prod­ucts, ex­te­rior ap­pear­ance of busi­ness and mu­nic­i­pal prop­er­ties, bilin­gual sig­nage, traf­fic im­pacts and more.

The ma­jor­ity of the meet­ing will be de­voted dis­cussing ways busi­nesses, artists, and crafters (pro­fes­sional and am­a­teur) can profit from this ma­jor Aca­dian event.

CMA of­fi­cials will pro­vide in­for­ma­tion on P.E.I. events, fam­ily re­unions, ten­der pro­cesses for food ser­vices, hand­craft booths and more.

The cham­ber will also speak about var­i­ous sales op­por­tu­ni­ties that can be or­ga­nized for small artists, ar­ti­sans and ven­dors on the side­lines of the fes­tiv­i­ties.

Pre­sen­ters will be avail­able to an­swer all ques­tions.

The meet­ing will be held at 9 p.m., on Jan. 24 in the con­fer­ence room of Evan­ge­line Ed­u­ca­tion Cen­tre in Abram-Vil­lage.
