Time to get frosted

Parking restrictions in place for Jack Frost Winterfest

-

Wednesday’s storm was good news for the Jack Frost Winterfest, providing plenty of lastminute material for the festival starting today.

During the festival, which runs at the Charlottetown Events Grounds and Eastlink Centre until Monday, there will be increased pedestrian traffic around Grafton Street, specifically at the crosswalk near the Charlottetown Events Grounds, as well as on Park Street and Kensington Road around Eastlink Centre Charlottetown.

Motorists are asked to use caution and slow down in these areas, especially into the evening when it gets dark. Anyone accessing the Indoor Playland at the Eastlink Centre is advised to use the Southeast entrance, nearest the parking lot off Park Street.

On Saturday, the Jack Frost Festival will be hosting Aurora: A Downtown Jack Frost Experience from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. on Victoria Row and a section of Queen Street.

The Guardian and the City of Charlottetown are presenting the event.
