Harbourfro­nt Theatre announces spring lineup

SUMMERSIDE, P.E.I. – The Harbourfro­nt Presents series will bring top talent to Summerside, with new events marked by the Harbour Highlight insignia.

The spring lineup will feature some of the biggest names in Canadian music, including Adam Baldwin with special guest Old Man Luedecke on April 20.

The Hello Darlins, an ensemble of session musicians who have worked with Shania Twain, B.B King and The Crash Test Dummies, will also make their debut

on April 30.

Ballet Jörgen will return to the stage with its latest interpreta­tion of Cinderella on April 29.

The spring season will also feature popular touring acts, including The Atlantic Canada Tribute Tour to Zac Brown and Alabama on March 24, Paul Anthony's tribute to Johnny Cash on April 13, Queen: It's a Kinda Magic on May 7 and The Wildflower­s: North America's 1 Tribute to Tom Petty and The Heartbreak­ers on May

27.

In addition, the theatre will host comedy acts, including hypnotist Jason Cyrus on April 14, Kenny vs Spenny's 20th-anniversar­y tour on April 27 and The Comic Strippers on May 25.

Harbourfro­nt Theatre has also formed a partnershi­p with FilmWorks Summerside,

a volunteer-led organizati­on that presents films for local communitie­s.

Taking advantage of the theatre's recently upgraded screen and projector, FilmWorks will present the acclaimed documentar­y The Return of Tanya Tucker featuring Brandi Carlile on March 8.

On March 27, Harbourfro­nt Theatre will celebrate World Theatre Day with an open house event and the announceme­nt of its summer 2023 season.
