Nancy Beth Guptill seeking Liberal nomination in Summerside-South Drive

O'LEARY, P.E.I. — Daniel MacDonald is seeking the Progressiv­e Conservati­ve nomination for O'LearyInver­ness in the upcoming provincial election.

"The last four years have tested our province like few others, but the leadership of Premier Dennis King has helped guide us through difficult times with hope and confidence,” said MacDonald.

“I'm proud to be seeking the opportunit­y to represent O'Leary-Inverness in a new Dennis King PC government."

MacDonald, a Glengarry dairy and beef farmer has served on various boards, including Amalgamate­d Dairies Ltd., Prince County Exhibition,

P.E.I. Grain Elevators Corporatio­n and the Central West Holstein Club.

He also sat as chair of the St. Marks property and finance committee.

SUMMERSIDE, P.E.I. — Nancy Beth Guptill has announced her bid to seek the Liberal nomination in Summerside-South Drive to run in the upcoming provincial election.

“I am passionate about Summerside and seeing it evolve into an age-friendly place to ensure that diverse needs are met,” said Guptill.

“There's a lot of potential with a strong voice in the provincial legislatur­e for our community.”

Guptill has been living in Summerside-South Drive for 46 years.

She is the founder of Include Summerside and Startup P.E.I., co-founder of Age-Friendly P.E.I., a former employee of Summerside Economic Developmen­t, and currently works with the East Prince Women's Informatio­n Centre.

She also owns a feminist consulting company called Dream Launch Grow.

In addition to her profession­al work, Nancy has a long history of volunteeri­sm.

She has been the president of several organizati­ons, such as P.E.I. Lest We Forget Veterans Committee/P.E.I. Veterans Success Centre, P.E.I. Business Women's Associatio­n, Family Place and Gymnastics P.E.I.

Guptill also serves as the Canadian ambassador of World Speech Day and is an associate member of Summerside Lions Club.
