Fusion des Arts

In 1964, Yves Robillard, Richard Lacroix and other Quebec artists got together to explode people’s ideas about art. Fusion members believed that in modern times, it wasn’t enough just to create art that people looked at. They felt art also needed to involve sound, touch and even interaction with other people. Their ideas about Quebec independence weren’t popular with those in power — their offices were raided by police.
