Petroglyphs and Pictographs

Kayak (Canada) - - BACKYARD HISTORY -

Although there are First Nations paintings on rock faces in nearly every province and territory, the largest numbers of these pictographs are found in central and northeastern Ontario and in the south and along the coast of British Columbia. Known as The Teaching Place, peaceful Petroglyphs Provincial Park in central Ontario is the best place in Canada to see these ancient rock carvings.
