Solaine Munilla
Étant la petite-fille de Diane Reitmeier et la fille de Lynn Reitmeier, Solaine Munilla a grandi avec l’entreprise avant de la rejoindre pour de vrai.
« Quand j’étudiais au Collège Louis-riel, j’ai commencé à travailler pour l’entreprise durant les étés et à me former à plusieurs tâches. Après le secondaire, j’ai réalisé une formation et par la force des choses, j’ai intégré l’équipe. Et je suis très heureuse d’avoir fait ce choix et d’avoir rejoint ma mère et ma grand-mère dans cette aventure qu’est Parenty Reitmeier. »
Un héritage familial qui a rendu nerveuse Solaine Munilla à ses débuts : « Mon poste est de m’occuper du marketing et des réseaux sociaux de l’entreprise. Au début, je voulais le respect des collègues et des clients sans parler du fait que je suis la petitefille et la fille des présidentes de l’entreprise. Mais j’ai réussi à trouver un équilibre qui me convient parfaitement. Je suis quelqu’un qui aime la créativité et c’est bénéfique dans mon travail. »
En côtoyant depuis son jeune âge l’équipe de Parenty Reitmeier, Solaine Munilla a vu l’évolution de l’entreprise de ses propres yeux : « C’est assez fou de se dire que l’équipe m’a vue grandir au fil des années et qu’aujourd’hui, je travaille avec eux. Ils sont vraiment fantastiques.
« Quand j’étais plus jeune, je me rappelle que dès que j’allais au bureau, je voyais toujours les gens rire, se conter des blagues et surtout être chaleureux les uns envers les autres. La grande majorité des gens qui travaillent dans l’équipe sont là depuis que je suis petite. Cela montre que l’ambiance est très bonne. « C’est une vraie équipe familiale et plus tard, en travaillant à temps plein, j’ai aussi compris que l’entreprise ne se limitait pas qu’à ma famille. C’est quelque chose de beaucoup plus grand que soi, et cela a forcément joué dans ma décision de travailler ici. »
Solaine Munilla a également pu apprendre de sa mère et de sa grand-mère en les côtoyant davantage dans le contexte professionnel : « J’ai appris énormément d’elles depuis que je travaille dans l’entreprise. Elles m’ont transmis la passion et la rigueur d’un travail bien réalisé, dans le grand respect des clients. Puis j’ai surtout compris que si tu fais preuve de détermination dans ton travail, tout est possible.
« Ma famille a construit cette entreprise à partir de rien. Elle a cru en elle-même. Ma grand-mère et ma mère sont de vraies inspirations pour moi, en tant que femmes fortes qui se sont construites toutes seules. Cela a eu une grande influence sur la femme que je suis devenue. Je souhaite poursuivre cet héritage et faire perdurer cette belle aventure. »
As Diane Reitmeier’s granddaughter and Lynn Reitmeier’s daughter, Solaine Munilla grew up with the company before being employed there.
“When I was a student at Collège Louis-riel, I started working for the company during the summer, being trained in different areas. After high school, I completed my training and circumstances dictated that I should join the team. I’m glad I chose to work alongside my mother and grandmother in the Parenty Reitmeier adventure.”
At first, the family connection made Solaine nervous: “My job involves looking after the company’s marketing and social networks. Initially, I wanted to gain the respect of my colleagues and our clients without mentioning the fact that I’m the granddaughter and daughter of the company presidents. But I managed to find a balance that suits me well. I am a person who enjoys creativity, which is beneficial to my work.”
Having grown up alongside the Parenty Reitmeier team, Solaine witnessed the company’s development for herself: “It’s pretty crazy to think that the team has seen me grow up and that now, I’m here working with them. They are really fantastic.”
“I remember when I was younger, that whenever I went to the office, I could see people laughing, telling jokes and being friendly toward their colleagues. Most of the team members have been here since I was little. This is an indication that the atmosphere is very pleasant.”
“Although this is a real family business, I understood later on, when I was a full-time employee, that the company wasn’t limited to my family. It’s actually much larger than us, and that definitely influenced my decision to work here.”
Solaine was also able to learn from her mother and grandmother by observing them in a professional setting: “I’ve learned a lot from them since I started working here. They have handed down their diligence and their love of a job well done, along with their great respect for clients. And above all, I realized that if you are determined in your work, then anything is possible.”
“My family built this business from scratch. They believed in themselves. My grandmother and mother are real inspirations to me, as strong women who learned to carve out a place for themselves. That had a big influence on the woman I have become. I want to build on their legacy and keep this great adventure going.”
