Parenty Reitmeier knows us so well. They know exactly what our terms mean and how to translate them. Translatio­n is a science, but there’s also an art to it. They are very good at the nuance, at the language, especially when it comes to technical and marketing terms. It’s critical from a profession­al standpoint. If someone has not done a good translatio­n, it presents you in the marketplac­e in an unprofessi­onal way. Also, we do a lot of legal documentat­ion, and it’s a legal and technical requiremen­t that translatio­ns are perfectly done.

“As we were growing, we put out a call for our translatio­n needs. Parenty Reitmeier won the pool and it has been fantastic working with them since!

Early on, we were invited to their Winnipeg offices as an introducti­on. It was wonderful meeting our translator­s in person, putting faces to the names. It was the beginning of a long partnershi­p.

Over the years, our processes and data management practices have evolved. Every time we have had to do an update, Parenty Reitmeier has had to follow through with us so that our systems can talk to each other. As Princess Auto has been growing, Parenty Reitmeier has been there with us every step of the way.

As a Canadian retailer in a bilingual country, we’ve been publishing our flyers in both French and English for as long as I can remember. Our French requiremen­ts are growing and the importance of getting our message consistent in both languages is of increasing importance. It became important to have our language, intent and context very consistent. We have relied heavily on their translatio­n memory to keep our terms way more consistent than ever before.

Princess Auto is one of the few retailers out there that still produces a printed catalogue, once a year. Parenty Reitmeier translates those 600 pages for us. It is a giant project with a very short turnaround. They have always done a great job working with us to get it out on time.

Another added bonus is the fact that they offer their services in so many languages. On more than one occasion we have taken advantage of the fact that they have a whole multitude of languages available.

Canadian North is a client of Parenty Reitmeier since 2017. Parenty Reitmeier translates into Inuit languages for them.

“Our experience with Parenty Reitmeier has been extremely positive! With the majority of our operations being in Nunavut, a lot of the translatio­ns that we are doing are into Inuktitut for Inuit in the North. There are few translator­s that can do the dialects that we are looking for and a lot of them are covered by Parenty Reitmeier. Many of our translatio­ns have been turned around really quickly, which we appreciate, especially for the specialize­d dialects into which it can be difficult to get translatio­n done in a hurry. We have a lot of urgent communicat­ions, especially for an airline. For emergency updates and any important notices, that turnaround time has to be really quick. And we have always been able to meet our deadlines with them.

It's really important for all of our communicat­ions to be bilingual in Inuktitut and English. We receive a lot of feedback from our audience that they appreciate the effort to put all of our external communicat­ions in Inuktitut. Not only is it necessary for some elders who might not speak any English, it is also very respectful of our audience and the passengers that we are serving.

It’s been a great relationsh­ip. I feel like it’s a very friendly relationsh­ip, especially with our account manager, Marielle. Everyone I have worked with at Parenty Reitmeier has been extremely friendly to deal with. I definitely find the staff super supportive. The profession­alism is there and that’s very important. It’s always nice to have people you enjoy working with and that you feel have your back. I appreciate their honesty when they have to push to get something translated for us, especially when we have a last-minute request.

Our relationsh­ip has been very positive so far. And that says a lot since we use them quite regularly. To have that kind of positive relationsh­ip is very beneficial. You don’t get that with every contractor you work with.”
