SPECIAL EDUCATION COMMITTEE

-

The South Nation Conservation Authority (SNC) is seeking more volunteers to sit on its advisory committees or help with some of the regional conservation group’s projects and programs during the next year. The SNC manages 4,384 square kilometers of forest and wetland habitat in the Eastern Ontario region within the South Nation River watershed. Besides filling vacancies on advisory committees, the SNC needs volunteers to assist with park and public conservation area cleanup, monitoring programs for fish and wildlife, habitat restoration work, tree planting, and other activities, including education and awareness presentations during public events. SNC volunteer work can help students fill their community hours quotas. Anyone interested can contact Taylor Campbell at 1-877-984-2848, extension 296. – Gregg Chamberlain
