More than $ 60,000 collected

The CFB Bagotville Charity Fund campaign was a huge success again in 2018, coming in with more than $ 60,000 which puts this year in the top three most raised funds in the past ten years.

Last year was a record year so the solicitors knew they had to work hard to beat it!

By crossing the $ 60,000 mark in 2018, the Charity Fund team keeps the annual average at a very high level.

The most successful activities were the CF- 18 shooting competition, which raised $ 12,700 and the traditional EME tire clinic which raised more than $ 4,500; almost $ 400 more than in 2017.

Donations this year also surprisingly increased by al- most $ 1,700 surpassing the $ 5,500 in 2018.

Members deployed to Romania at the moment, also contributed their way this year by raising more than $ 2,000 in the Terry Fox Run.

The CFB Bagotville Charity Fund Campaign was founded in 1966. Unlike the Base Fund, which is dedicated solely to the welfare of the members, the Charity Fund has its own Board of Directors which evaluates grant applications according to well- established criteria.

Every year, the Charity Fund donates nearly as much donations to local charities as is raised during the fundraising campaign, proving that there are many local needs.
