PSP Summer Day Camp adapted to pandemic

-

For the second year in a row, the PSP day camp has had to deal with health measures related to COVID-19, but this does not prevent the young people of the Bagotville community from having fun and having a great summer.

Among the novelties this year, the camp takes place at the base community center, a place better adapted to the needs of the camp, because each group has its place and the young people have access to a gymnasium. Recall that in 2020, the organizers had to organize all of their activities at the base arena, where all young people of different age groups were gathered.

The community center also provides easy access to all outdoor facilities, such as the park and nearby water games.

The camp team also learned a lot from the past year, which allowed them to provide a great experience for the children while respecting the measures in place. In order to limit contact, the children are separated into bubble groups, and each group is in its own room.

With the arrival of the green zone, children are no longer required to wear the mask, but employees and parents must wear it.

In order to limit contact with the outside of the bubbles, parents are not allowed inside the building. Children are dropped off at the entrance to the gymnasium and are looked after by the activity leaders. Effective communication between parents and facilitators is necessary to properly coordinate arrivals and departures.

The seven-week summer camp continues until August 13.
