433 ETAC represent Bagotville in Atlanta
From April 17 to 20, 2023, six soldiers from 433 Squadron from Bagotville traveled to Atlanta to take part in the Aerospace Maintenance Competition (AMC).
This international competition, which takes place over two days, is all about performing maintenance challenges as quickly as possible. The time allocated to each test is limited to 15 minutes. Through these tasks, the technicians discovered new state-of-the-art tools that could be useful in improving the operational efficiency of the squadron. It all happened at the same time as the MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul) aeronautical exhibition.
The six representatives from 433 Squadron who took part in this competition are MCpl Kimberly McFarlane, MCpl Nelson Bailly, Cpl LouisPhilippe Vignola, Cpl Katherine Lalancette, Cpl Simon Moulinas and Cpl Amylie Gélinas.
In all, 84 teams made up of five competitors and a team leader from all over the world took part in the competition. “As they say: it makes a lot of people at mass! Then when all these beautiful people are seated in the same room for the welcome meeting, that's when they say to themselves, they're going to have to work extra hard to get a place in this event, "says the one of the Bagotville team members, Cpl Louis-Philippe Vignola, to sum up his feelings at the start of the experience.
The Bagotville representatives all enjoyed this experience, which completely took them out of their usual routine. The greatest reward won is the professional background and the group cohesion acquired during this event!
