A locally produced documentary on homelessness will soon screen to a nationwide audience.

“Where is Home?”, produced by Dan Berdusco, will air on Wednesday at the 2016 Canadian Alliance to End Homelessness Conference in London, Ont.

About 1,000 attendees will take part in the three-day conference, which focuses on solutions to ending homelessness in Canada.

Many policy makers, funders, researchers, advocates, community leaders and front line workers are expected to attend. The conference features a program that will give attendees the inspiration, information, tools and training needed to end homelessness in their community.

Filmed and produced in Lethbridge between 2013-15, “Where is Home?” focuses on homelessness, addiction and the long-term effects of the residential school system in southern Alberta.

“I am honoured that ‘Where is Home?’ has been chosen to screen at this very important conference,” said Berdusco. “It is my hope that this opportunity will not only share these perspectives from our community, but will also lead to continued national distribution of this film. To help achieve this goal, I am providing all attendees of the conference with the ability to freely and perpetually distribute and screen the film publicly at their discretion, free of charge.” For more information on the film, visit
