Everyone is welcome. • Galt Museum and Archives’ Café Galt lecture program for adults and seniors continues March 5 from 2-3 p.m., featuring “Great Gardeners Through History.” All through the ages, men and women have gone tromping all over the globe in search of new, horticultu­rally-valuable plants. Lyndon Penner will introduce you to the most important and famous of these, and to the discoverie­s they made. Admission fees apply (includes exhibit access); free to annual pass holders. • Free outdoor fit camp, for all ages

Erika Sutherland will discuss “Discoverin­g an Ancient Capital - The Ness of Brodgar, Orkney.” The site has so far revealed the largest collection of dressed and decorated stone from Neolithic Britain, a complex collection of pottery from far reaches of Scotland and some of the first evidence of painted walls and stones in Northern Europe. Dr. James Foster Penny Building, 324 5 St. S., for the book “Canadian Perspectiv­es on Immigratio­n in Small Cities,” edited by Glenda Tibe Bonifacio of the University of Lethbridge and Julie Drolet. Bonifacio is associate professor of Women and Gender Studies at the U of L. The book examines immigratio­n to small cities throughout Canada. It explores the challenges brought about by the influx of people to urban communitie­s which typically have less than 100,000 residents. • Revellers Dinner and Games Night will be held March 8 at the basement level at The Keg (Country Kitchen Catering) on Mayor Magrath Drive S.
