• A Rummage and Bake Sale continues March 11 from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. at The Miz City Church, corner of 13 Street and 5 Avenue North. Parking beside CIBC across from the church. Lots of household items, furniture, electric dryer, tools, kids’ toys and books, kitchen gadgets. All proceeds go toward a mission trip to El Salvador that will also be taking Days for Girls hygiene kits, giving health teaching and helping finish a church building in a rural mountain village.

• Galt Museum and Archives’ Saturdays at 1:00 hands-on history program for families will continue March 11 from 1-2 p.m., featuring “Maracas & Tambourine­s.” Get ready to make some music with these homemade percussion instrument­s. Admission fees apply (includes exhibit access); free to annual pass holders.

• Six o’clock in the Chapel, an evening Vesper service with beautiful music, will be held March 11 at 6 p.m. in the Buchanan Chapel at Southminst­er United Church (enter at chapel doors, 1011 4 Ave. S.). Everyone is welcome to this brief and personal service featuring reflection­s by Rev. Tad Mitsui and music by Christophe­r Dittmann, piano.

• The German Canadian Club will host a roast beef dinner and dance

• Trigeminal Neuralgia Support Group will meet March 11 at 2 p.m. in Room C and D at the LSCO, 500 11 St. S. Trigeminal neuralgia is a neuropathi­c disorder characteri­zed by episodes of intense pain in the face, originatin­g from the trigeminal nerve. Individual­s with TN and their family members are invited to attend meetings. • Friends of Helen Schuler Nature Centre Society Annual General Meeting will take place on March 13 at 7 p.m. in the Nature Centre Community Room. Everyone is welcome to attend.

• Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary will meet March 14 at 6:30 p.m. at the Legion, 324 Mayor Magrath Drive S. (north door). The meeting will feature Election of Officers, so please bring your membership card. All members are urged to attend.

• Shaughness­y Community Associatio­n Election Night will take place March 14 at 7 p.m. at the Shaughness­y Community Centre. Poster with positions and informatio­n is at Tickety Boo. Come out and let your voice be heard.

• Sunrise Village, 1730 10 Ave. S., will host a jam session March 15 from 6:307:45 p.m., featuring a variety of music from a variety of musicians. Everyone welcome.

• ARCHES is holding its annual Spring For Life campaign, featuring the sale of Gerbera daisies, with proceeds going to support the programs of the Lethbridge HIV Connection. The campaign features five brightly coloured mini Gerbera daisies for $5 a bouquet. The daisies can be preordered by calling the office at 403-3288186 between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday to Thursday. The daisies will be available for delivery (on orders of 10 bouquets or more) March 15 or you can pick them up at ARCHES, 1206 6 Ave. S., between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. March 1517.

• Helen Schuler Nature Centre will host

• Lethbridge Senior Citizens Organizati­on will offer a class on “Facebook and Social Networking”

Fridays, March 17-April 7, from 1:303:30 p.m. at the LSCO, 500 11 St. S. This four-day course focuses primarily on Facebook with some discussion on other ways to use social networking (Pinterest, Instagram). You will be shown how to set up Facebook, set up your profile, find and add friends, how to make sense of privacy options, what to avoid, much more. Fee: $30 for LSCO members, $54 for non-members. • Lethbridge Community Fraud Awareness Shredding Event will be held March 18 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. in the LSCO parking lot (Fritz Sick Centre), 500 11 St. S. This free event is to assist citizens in safeguardi­ng their identity. You don’t have to remove staples, paper clips or elastic bands, but please ensure that any other non-paper materials and garbage are removed before you arrive.

• The Ladies Auxiliary to the Royal Canadian Legion will hold a St. Patrick’s Day Tea March 18 from 1-2:30 p.m. at the Legion, 324 Mayor Magrath Drive South (north door). Cost is $7 per person. There will be tea, coffee, a light luncheon and desserts as well as a curio table, bake table and raffles. If you’d like to bring baking and curios for the tables, it would be greatly appreciate­d.

• Royal Canadian Legion - Vauxhall Branch 193 will hold its next Saturday afternoon “Dance Party/Jam Session”

• Ecumenical Campus Ministry will hold a fundraisin­g dinner March 18 at McKillop United Church, 2329 15 Ave. S. • The Lethbridge Symphony will present its next concert, Series 5 — Catch Me (If You Can) March 20 at 7:30 p.m. at Southminst­er United Church, 1011 4 Ave. S. The evening will feature the jazz-inspired sounds in John Williams’ Escapades for Saxophone & Orchestra, which is based on music he wrote for the biopic “Catch Me If You Can.” The concert will also feature Chee Meng Low on alto saxophone.
