• Lethbridge Christian Women’s Choir will join the Lethbridge Christian Men’s Choir in presenting the Easter 2017 Choir Concert “I Worship You Almighty God” April 7 at 7:30 p.m. at Trinity Reformed Church, 1100 40 Ave. N. The 10-mile event takes a challenging loop through the coulees, while the four-mile race is a familyfriendly circuit perfect for runners, joggers or walkers of all ages. And brand new in 2017 is a one-mile kids’ race, which is free to enter with the purchase of two adult registrations. Registration is now open, including a $60 family package, which includes entries for two adults and up to four children aged 15 and under. • Lethbridge Community Band will present its 30th Anniversary Celebration concert April 8 at 7 p.m. at Southminster United Church. Special guest is modern crooner Michael Vanhevel from Toronto and the band welcomes back to the podium conductor Ken Rogers. • Lethbridge Artists Club is displaying an exciting variety of works at The Port April 8 — opening is at 6 p.m. Mingle with the artists; view the new exhibit while enjoying light refreshments and beverages. • A Downtown Parade and Remembrance Ceremony marking the centennial of Canada’s victory at Vimy Ridge will be held April 8 starting at 10 a.m. at Galt Gardens. Soldiers from 20th Independent Field Battery, Royal Canadian Artillery, and affiliated Cadet Organizations from Lethbridge, Fort MacLeod and Taber will participate. The parade will proceed to City Hall for the Remembrance Ceremony and gun salute from 10:30-11 a.m. The public is invited to attend.
• Six O’clock in the Chapel, an evening Vesper service with beautiful music, will be held April 8 at 6 p.m. in the Buchanan Chapel at Southminster United Church (enter at chapel doors, 1011 4 Ave. S.). Lethbridge will be at Centre Village Mall April 8 from 9:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. collecting names for a petition calling for a referendum on the issue of curbside recycling in Lethbridge. The petition will later be presented to Lethbridge City Council.
• Trigeminal Neuralgia Support Group meets the second Saturday of the month at 2 p.m. in Room C and D at the LSCO, 500 11 St. S. Trigeminal neuralgia is a neuropathic disorder characterized by episodes of intense pain in the face, originating from the trigeminal nerve.
