DAYS FOR GIRLS LETHBRIDGE TEAM – FEMININE HYGIENE KIT ASSEMBLY VOLUNTEERS
Days For Girls is looking for volunteers to assist with cutting, sewing and packaging of washable feminine hygiene kits for girls and women in need. Volunteers may prepare materials at any time in preparation for sewing days. Sewing days occur the first Monday of each month from 1:00 pm to 3:00pm and/or 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Volunteers in this role should be able to pay careful attention to detail for making patterns, cutting fabric, stitching and sewing. GREAT CANADIAN PLAINS RAILWAY SOCIETY – BINGO VOLUNTEERS
Great Canadian Plains Railway Society holds bingos twice monthly and are looking for volunteers that would be interested in helping them out. There is a great group of volunteers currently but they need more so they can rotate the assignments. All training is provided as well as a meal and beverage for each shift. Volunteers will be selling tickets and making change so a knowledge of basic math would be helpful. If you are interested please contact Janice at 403-320-0482.

Come and join the Girl Guides of Canada for friendship and fun! The Chinook Area Girl Guides is
looking for leaders in the following programs;
Sparks (age 5-6), Brownies (age7-8), Guides (age 9-11), Pathfinders (age 12-14), Rangers (age 15-17). Volunteers in this role must be female and 18 years or older. No experience is necessary. Southern Alberta Individualized Planning Association (SAIPA) is a non-profit charitable organization that offers support to individuals with developmental disabilities and service organizations in the south region. Their current support includes training or workshops, advocacy and advocacy resources to individuals, their personal networks, and agencies in the south region. SAIPA is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors which includes representatives of the individuals they support, members of their personal networks, and members of the community. LONDON ROAD NEIGHBOURHOOD ASSOCIATION BOARD MEMBERS
The London Road Neighborhood Association is looking for an Advertisement Co-ordinator on their Board of Directors. This role will assist The London Road Neighborhood Association with the design and distribution of posters and advertisements for community events. Volunteers will be knowledgeable about the London Road area, have experience working with a Board of Directors, have some knowledge of city planning and street safety. Good communication is an asset and you must live in the London Road Area (you do not have to be a home owner. You must be willing to make a change, bring your passionate self to the board, be willing and ready to work as a team, and to share your voice! UNITED WAY OF LETHBRIDGE – LETHBRIDGE HURRICANES RAFFLE SUPPORT
At each home game of the Lethbridge Hurricanes 2017-2018 regular season, United Way will be at the Enmax Centre, conducting a raffle to raise funds to support essential community programs. Volunteers work in teams of two or three to promote raffle ticket sales to fans along the concourse and in the stands. Ticket sales take place before the game and during the intermissions. Admission to the game is covered for volunteers. It’s a great way to support the community and have fun at the same time. This season, they would like to encourage volunteers to commit to three or more home games throughout the season which runs to March 16, 2018.
