The Lethbridge Hurricanes welcome the Edmonton Oil Kings tonight at the ENMAX Centre at 7:00pm. Tonight will be the fifth of six meetings between the Hurricanes and Oil Kings this season
Final Visit:
Tonight will be Edmonton’s final visit to the ENMAX Centre this season. The Hurricanes are 1-0-1-0 in two games against the Oil Kings at home this season. The ‘Canes earned a 4-1 win over Edmonton back on September 30th before dropping a 6-5 overtime loss to them on December 8th.
Winning Record:
The Hurricanes have faced the Oil Kings four times already this season and are 2-1-1-0 against them thus far. The ‘Canes are 11-0-0 in Edmonton. The two teams will complete the season series between the two in Edmonton on March 13th at Rogers Place.
Busy Month:
Tonight is the second game of February for the Hurricanes who began it last night against the Swift Current Broncos. The ‘Canes will play 12 games in a 26 day span this month. The ‘Canes only play four road games this month with a whopping eight at home.
Nice Win:
The Oil Kings are in a stretch where they play 10 of 11 games on the road. They are 1-2-0-0 in the first three games of this run, but are coming off a 5-2 win in Cranbrook on Wednesday over the Kootenay Ice. The Oil Kings are statistically the worst team in the WHL with a record of 14-29-5-2 on the year.
