• University of Lethbridge will present Lunch & Learn, with the topic “Resilience in Work and in Life,” Feb. 6, noon-1 p.m. at AH137, Anderson Hall. Dr. Sienna Caspar, a professor in the Faculty of Health Sciences, will introduce the concepts of resilience and selfcompassion. Participants will discover how current research in resilience, selfcompassion and engaging selfexamination helps people learn to embrace their imperfections with kindness.
• Fort Macleod 4H Beef Club Sponsorship Night will take place Feb. 6 at the Fort Macleod Community Hall, 301 25 St. Roast beef supper at 5:30 p.m. (cost by donation), silent auction throughout the evening. • Archaelogical Society of Alberta, Lethbridge Centre will meet Feb. 6 in the Theatre Room at the Lethbridge Public Library (Main Branch), with meetand-greet at 6:30 p.m., lecture at 7 p.m. Guest speaker will be Mike Bruised Head, Blood Tribe Elder, who will discuss “Blackfoot History in Waterton Lakes National Park: Does it Have History?” Everyone welcome.
• Alberta Genealogical Society, Lethbridge Branch Resource Library will be open from 6 to 9 p.m. on the first Tuesday of each month starting Feb. 6. Weigh-in time: 99:45 a.m. Meeting: 10-11 a.m. TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) is a not-forprofit support group for members who are trying to lose or maintain their weight. • University of Lethbridge will present “The Greatest Trick the Devil Ever Pulled: The Enduring Ubiquity of White Supremacy,” Feb. 7 at 7 p.m. at TH201, Turcotte Hall. Oludamini Ogunnaike, a professor of religious studies at the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia, will discuss the apparent rise of the alt-right and the resurgence of white nationalism following the riots in Charlottesville last summer.
