• Prentice University Institute of Lethbridge Brown Bag Lecture, presents the featuring noon-1:30 Yale p.m., Belanger, L1102, Feb. Prentice 16 from Boardroom, Library. Belanger will discuss reconciliation and Alberta-Indigenous relations. Although Premier Rachel Notley apologized for Alberta’s role in the residential school system and called for changes in the Alberta-Indigenous relationship, limited progress has been made. Belanger will explore the challenges and offer recommendations for change that could be first steps toward recovering the relationship.
• Nord-Bridge Seniors are hosting a Valentine’s Social and Dance featuring the sounds of Don, Vicki, and Chris Feb. 16 at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10 each and are available at Nord-Bridge. Call the centre, 403-329-3222, for more information. Proceeds will benefit the Building Fund.
• Army, Navy & Air Force Veterans Club, 517 5 Ave. S., invites the public to play shuffleboard, mixed darts and billiards (pool) Fridays, 7 p.m.; shuffleboard Tuesdays at 7 p.m.; crib on Wednesdays at 7 p.m.; and open crib tournament second Sunday of the month at 1 p.m.

• Celebrate Recovery — a Christcentred recovery program for any hurt, hang-up and habit, meets Friday nights at Park Meadows Baptist Church, 2011 15 Ave. N. 6 p.m. - supper ($3); 7 p.m. large group; 8 p.m. - open share small groups; 9 p.m. - Solid Rock Cafe. • Nordbridge Bingo welcomes the public (18 and over) for a cash bingo with no surcharges Fridays at 1 p.m. (except holidays) at 1904 13 Ave. N. A regular book is $5, extra games $1 each. • The Lethbridge Association of the Blind (LAB) provides numerous activities for the blind and visually impaired in the Lethbridge area. Some of these include dinners with entertainment, attending musicals and tours of local museums. The association also runs a bowling league which takes place weekly at the Holiday Bowl. • Galt Museum’s Saturday’s at 1:00 hands-on history program for families continues Feb. 17 from 1-2 p.m., featuring “Rag Dolls.” Join us in learning about the history of a beloved childhood toy, the doll, and make your own rag doll to take home with you. Admission fees apply (includes exhibit access); free to annual pass holders.

• Kids Club and MAKEbreak Crafting Classes take place on weekends at Michael’s Craft Store at Park Place, designed for kids of all ages. Fees range from $0-$2 per child, or cost of base item. • West Wind Gymnastics Club offers drop-in fun on Saturdays from 2-4 p.m. It’s a great opportunity to practise your gymnastic skills in a friendly, supervised environment. Age 5 and under $6 and must be accompanied by an adult; 6 and older $12.

• The McNally Community Association will hold a jam session Feb. 18 at 1 p.m. at McNally Community Hall, 5 miles southeast of Lethbridge (2 miles east of airport). Cost $5 (entertainers free).
• The 14th annual Coaldale Community Fest will take place Feb. 19 (Family Day) with an assortment of family events throughout the day. The schedule includes: 8 a.m.-11 a.m., free pancake breakfast at Community Centre; 10 a.m.noon, crafts and helium balloons at Coaldale Mennonite Church; 10 a.m.-3 p.m., hay rides at The Hub field; 11 a.m.3 p.m., public skating, face painting, hot chocolate, coffee and donuts at the arena; noon-1 p.m., free chili lunch at the arena; free hotdog lunch at Coaldale Mennonite Church; 1-3 p.m., laser tag at Community Centre; all-ages crib tournament with prizes at Coaldale Senior Centre; 4-6 p.m., “A Goofy Movie” (1995) and snacks at the Gem of the West Museum.
• University of Lethbridge will present Play Day 2018 Feb. 19 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the 1st Choice Savings Centre for Sport and Wellness. Various sporting activities such as basketball, floor hockey, swimming and fitastic play, and access to the Ascent Climbing Centre’s climbing wall will be offered. There is no charge for admission or parking and people are encouraged to bring gym shoes, comfortable clothing and a swimsuit to enjoy all the activities. An added bonus for those who attend Play Day is 15 per cent off regular-priced Horns Summer Camp registration fees.
• Building Cultural Bridges will hold its next weekly presentation Feb. 19 at 7 p.m. at the Multicultural Centre, featuring the topic “Bhutan” with guest speaker Purna Adhikari.
• A free, roundtable discussion session about investing, finance, economics and financial literacy will be held Feb. 28 at 7 p.m. (Location to be announced based upon number of attendees). Hosted by a 30-year industry veteran. Sessions are intended to help people learn how to protect their financial health and learn to confidently understand or manage their own investments. No products, no selling, no sales agents allowed. Just self-help questions and answers. The Who, What, Where, When and Why of things financial will be discussed. • Lethbridge Senior Citizens Organization will offer “Seniors Martial Arts,” a six-week fitness class for older adults, Saturdays, March 3–April 14 (no class March 31) from 10-11 a.m. at C229 12 C St. N. Class is designed to challenge and improve balance, co-ordination, strength and general fitness through martial art movements and exercises. Fee: $36 for LSCO members, $54 for nonmembers. Register by Feb. 27 (after this date add $5).
• A Veterans Information Seminar will be held March 23 at 10:30 a.m. at the General Stewart Branch No. 4, 324 Mayor Magrath Drive S. Are you receiving all entitlements? Have they been updated? Do you have questions regarding your benefits? Attend this free seminar to find out. All veterans and retired RCMP officers are invited to attend. Branch Service Officer Wayne King along with a Command Service Officer and representation from VAC will be in attendance. Also invited are all branch service officers in the district. • Looking for child care over spring break and Easter? Consider West Wind Gymnastics Club where your children ages 4-13 will learn gymnastics skills, crafts, science, cooking and more. Early care starting at 8 a.m. and after care ending at 5 p.m. is also available. Register for both weeks and save 10 per cent. You can register for full or half days. • The Chinook Society for Recovering Addicts, a not-for-profit registered society with charitable status, makes its renovated facility at 408 13 St. N. available as a meeting room space to 12step groups as well as other groups or organizations. Each of the three available rooms includes tables, chairs, commercial coffee maker and sink. There is a centrally located locker room for group supplies as well as central men’s and women’s washrooms. The facility has central HVAC, is smoke free and wheelchair accessible.
