• Are you looking for a free place to get your kids out of the house doing productive things on a Thursday evening? Me and My Family promotes learning through play in a space designed for caregivers and their children to explore and grow. Building, colouring, painting and dress-up are all regular activities at Family Centre. Come down to Family Centre downtown on Thursdays from 67:30 p.m. Located at #225, 200 4 Ave. S. • Southern Alberta Model Builders meets the first Thursday of each month (except July) at 7:30 p.m. at Smittys restaurant, Mayor Magrath Drive South. • World day Of Prayer will be recognized locally at Knox United Church in Taber March 2 at 1 p.m., with the service this year prepared by the women from Suriname in South America. All denominati­ons are welcome. • Army, Navy & Air Force Veterans Club, 517 5 Ave. S., invites the public to play shuffleboa­rd, mixed darts and billiards (pool) Fridays, 7 p.m.; shuffleboa­rd Tuesdays at 7 p.m.; crib on Wednesdays at 7 p.m.; and open crib tournament second Sunday of the month at 1 p.m.

• “A Taste of Jazz” will take place March 3 at 7 p.m. at College Drive Community Church, 2710 College Drive S., featuring the Lethbridge Community Brass Choir and specal guests Altius Brass. The event will feature works written and performed by past and present jazz greats. The audience will also be treated to a special performanc­e of Giovanni Gabrieli’s “Sonata XX a 22.” Tickets: $15 regular, children 12 and younger free. • Building Cultural Bridges will hold its next weekly presentati­on March 5 at 7 p.m. at the Multicultu­ral Centre, with the topic “Hungary” with guest speaker Bonnie Biscke. • Lethbridge Senior Citizens Organizati­on will offer Active Aging Strength and Low-Impact Classes, Mondays and Wednesdays, March 5–

April 25 (no class April 2) from 8-8:50 a.m. at the LSCO, 500 11 St. S. These low impact classes will assist you to maintain, build and improve your balance, strength,

cardiovasc­ular fitness and overall health. Fee: $75 for LSCO members, $98 for nonmembers. Register by Mar. 1 (after this date add $5). Register at the LSCO or call 403-320-2222. • The 9th Annual Gluten and DairyFree Dinner will take place March 6 at the Garden Court Restaurant at Lethbridge College.
