Two speakers have been announced for this year’s “Food for Thought” leadership breakfast.

Social entrepreneur and restaurant owner Mark Brand will share the podium with Trevor Lewington, chief executive officer of Economic Development Lethbridge.

The event, backed by the Regional Innovation Network of Southern Alberta, is set for May 16 at the Coast Lethbridge Hotel. “We are pleased to support an event that provides businesses at all stages of development, an opportunity to expand thinking in new and innovative ways,” says Bill Halley, an adviser with Alberta Innovates Technology Development, in a release.

“In today’s everchanging landscape we continue to see how business progress is often achieved by adopting a flexible, entrepreneurial approach that considers both the financial and social as benchmarks of success.”

Organizers say the combination of Lewington’s insight on the economic trends impacting the area, along with Brand’s perspective on the value of blending corporate and community leadership, will provide participants with plenty of “food for thought” on effective ways to move forward.

Tickets are priced at $45, with discounts for tables of six or eight. They’re available online at:
