Broncos win

Moose Jaw, Sask. — Former Lethbridge Hurricane goaltender Stuart Skinner made 25 saves and the Swift Current Broncos advanced to the WHL Eastern Conference championship with a 6-0 victory over the Moose Jaw Warriors Monday night.

The Broncos will play the Lethbridge Hurricanes, who eliminated Brandon on Friday.

Swift Current knocked off the top-seeded Warriors in seven games, after a heartbreaking loss in triple overtime on Saturday.

Monday, Glenn Gawdin scored twice for the Broncos, while Tyler Steenbergen, Colby Sissons, Max Patterson former Hurricane Giorgio Estephan added singles.

Swift Current hosts Lethbridge Friday and Saturday in the first two games of the series, while Lethbridge hosts Games 3 and 4 next Tuesday and Wednesday.
