Wrestlers medal at na­tion­als

Leth­bridge Wrestling cap­tured four medals among its six top-six fin­ishes at the U17/19 Cana­dian Wrestling Cham­pi­onships over the week­end in Ed­mon­ton.

Lead­ing the way was An­gela El­lis-Tod­ding­ton who cap­tured the na­tional cham­pi­onship in the women’s U17 Greco divi­sion. El­lis Tod­ding­ton also com­peted in the U17 women’s freestyle with an 0-2 record.

Brant­ley Saar won two sil­ver medals, plac­ing sec­ond in the men’s freestyle U17 65-kilo­gram divi­sion with a 3-1 record and earn­ing sil­ver in the men’s U17 Greco event, also with a 3-1 mark.

Maren Evan­son claimed sil­ver in the men’s U19 freestyle divi­sion.

Hay­den Devoy was fourth in the men’s freestyle U17 71kg class with a 4-2 mark. Mason Har­ris placed sixth in the 55 kg. divi­sion with a 5-3 record.

Also com­pet­ing were Justin Bly (02) and Ai­den Arn (2-2) in the men’s U19 freestyle event.
