Wrestlers medal at nationals

Lethbridge Wrestling captured four medals among its six top-six finishes at the U17/19 Canadian Wrestling Championships over the weekend in Edmonton.

Leading the way was Angela Ellis-Toddington who captured the national championship in the women’s U17 Greco division. Ellis Toddington also competed in the U17 women’s freestyle with an 0-2 record.

Brantley Saar won two silver medals, placing second in the men’s freestyle U17 65-kilogram division with a 3-1 record and earning silver in the men’s U17 Greco event, also with a 3-1 mark.

Maren Evanson claimed silver in the men’s U19 freestyle division.

Hayden Devoy was fourth in the men’s freestyle U17 71kg class with a 4-2 mark. Mason Harris placed sixth in the 55 kg. division with a 5-3 record.

Also competing were Justin Bly (02) and Aiden Arn (2-2) in the men’s U19 freestyle event.
